About the Flowie Exchange API
One REST API for electronic invoicing across 47 countries and every major network, operated by Flowie, a registered French Plateforme Agréée.
What it is
Electronic invoicing is not one problem — it is forty-seven of them. Each country mandates its own formats, its own clearance model, its own lifecycle reporting and its own deadlines. France requires transmission through a registered Plateforme Agréée. Italy clears through SDI. Saudi Arabia through Fatoora. India through the GST IRP. Malaysia through MyInvois. Most of Europe interoperates over Peppol, with national profiles layered on top.
The Flowie Exchange API collapses that into a single contract. You send a document to a recipient; the API resolves which network that recipient is reachable on, converts to the format that network requires, transmits it, tracks delivery, and reports the lifecycle transitions the destination country obliges you to report. When the rules change — and they change constantly — they change behind the API rather than in your codebase.
Who operates it
Flowie is a finance and procurement orchestration company headquartered in Paris, France. Flowie is a registered Plateforme Agréée (PA) under the French e-invoicing reform, which is the status required to transmit invoices on behalf of French businesses, and is also a Peppol Access Point.
Coverage
47 countries with documented mandate rules, formats and deadlines, published per country under /compliance/. Networks include Peppol (BIS Billing 3.0), France PPF/PA, Italy SDI and FatturaPA, Saudi Fatoora, Israel ITA, India GST IRP and Malaysia MyInvois. Document types cover invoices, credit notes, debit notes, purchase orders, order responses and despatch advices.
Built to be integrated without a sales call
A single unauthenticated call to POST /v1/sandbox/bootstrap mints a working key with a seeded company, so a developer — or an autonomous agent — can send a document within a minute of arriving. The full contract is published as OpenAPI 3.1, the documentation is mirrored in machine-readable Markdown, and the API is callable natively over both MCP and A2A.
Compliance and security
ISO 27001:2022 certified. GDPR compliant, EU-hosted. Full audit trails on every document and every lifecycle transition. Country-specific compliance posture is documented per country rather than claimed in aggregate.
